Hello, I am Elizabeth (Liz) Mays Harris, a Vermont native. I have been painting, drawing and creating my whole life. I married at 21 and had 5 beautiful children. Vermont has always been my home and it shows through deeply in my work. My studio is in the heart of the Green Mountains in the Mad River Valley. Painting is my greatest form of therapy. I see colors, everywhere. In October of 2016 my daughter was killed in a tragic car accident. I layed my brushes down for 17 months. When I picked up my paintbrush again. The loss of Mary ripped my emotions wide open and she started flowing through me and my brush. Her death changed me. Each and every piece I create carries with it the color of Mary.

444EHART

Much like "I LOVE YOU" (143), "LOVE LIKE MARY" (444) is a motto Inspired by my daughter Mary, whose legacy was to teach kindness through love. It has helped me see the world in color by creating something special with my paint and brush.

"444" is a number of protection and encouragement; a sign that you are currently following the right path. If you see the number 444 repeatedly, your angel is with you. The square root of 444 is approximately 21, Mary's number in athletics! The spiritual meaning of 444 is "angel" and signifies a higher purpose. It represents honesty, health, determination, success, wisdom, intuition, and confidence. Through this number, angels are by your side in everything that you do.

"EH" are my initials and "art" is my therapy. Fuse all three together to create 444ehart. My art symbolizes my love, life and strength to move forward everyday and to "LOVE LIKE MARY".

Creating 444EHart seemed to be the next step in expanding my world of color through art. It all seemed to fall right into place.

So here I go...Enjoy all my colors! -EH

CREATIONS

(pallet art) (2018-2021)

When we experience horrific life changing events, we need to stop and learn how to breathe and take care of ourselves, in order to take care of those around us. After returning to my paints and brushes 17 months after unimaginable trauma and loss, I began to find my love of color again. This pallet assisted in my growth and journey of my emerging beauty, understanding my losses, my gains, and the relationships I have cultivated throughout my journey. I am truly blessed to have painting as a form of therapy. Take time to create your pallet! -EH
